Recreation Aquatics Specialist Certificate of Achievement

A Certificate of Achievement will be granted upon completion of all program requirements.

The Recreation Aquatics Specialist Certificate of Achievement provides students with knowledge, ability and
skills in the field of recreation with specialization in aquatics. Students who complete this certificate program
will have developed the ability to plan, coordinate, schedule and instruct a variety of programs specific to
aquatics and recreation. The certificate and curriculum will provide opportunities for certification in Basic First
Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Lifesaving, and Water Safety Instruction (WSI). Upon completion
students will have the necessary aquatics certification and knowledge to gain employment in occupations such
as, lifeguarding, pool management and instruction of recreational aquatic courses.
