BSRC 481 - Case Management in Pulmonary Emergency Medicine 4 units 4 hours lecture Prerequisite:
- Admission to El Camino College Respiratory Care BS Program
- Eligibility for RCP license in California:
- Graduation from a CoARC accredited Respiratory Care Program
- A.S. degree from an accredited Community College
- Completion of the 39 required CSU-GE Transfer Pattern units (IGETC)
Credit, degree applicable This course provides an opportunity to share pulmonary emergency medicine experience with other professionals that have particular importance for Respiratory Care Practitioners. The sharing will be in the form of a solution for a case study of a problem in pulmonary emergency medicine focusing on respiratory care solutions. Solutions will include evidence-based medicine justifications as well as personnel management and any budgetary concerns. The solutions provided by the students highlight challenges faced in delivering care and provide a mechanism for frontline clinicians to engage with others who may have had similar experiences.
