IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program Certificate of Accomplishment

The IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program Certificate of Accomplishment is designed for students who wish to enter the tax preparation profession.  The program provides students with valuable hands-on experience preparing tax returns through the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program.  Students will be trained to use tax software and accurately prepare and file federal and state individual income tax returns for elderly, low-income and other qualifying individuals.  Students will enhance their communication skills through interviews of taxpayers, explanations of tax return results and interaction with the community.
