The noncredit Introduction to College and Career Success Certificate of Completion offers a foundation in the skills, information, and resources essential for achieving success in education and careers. Topics include college orientation, personal qualities for success, college readiness, learning preferences, lifelong learning, educational and career goal setting, study skills, time management, and support networks. Additionally, students will be introduced to career and life planning in diverse contexts by exploring core values, skills, personality traits, and life stages. Coursework includes decision-making strategies, job search techniques and effective approaches to job applications and interviews. The Certificate of Completion is granted after successful completion of HDEV 500 or 510 and HDEV 504.
