Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies, AA

Women’s, gender and sexuality studies is an interdisciplinary program which exposes students to a broad range of academic scholarship in the behavioral and social sciences, humanities, and fine arts.  The program helps to develop skills in critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, research, and writing.  Upon completion of the degree requirements, the student will acquire an understanding of major concepts and theoretical perspectives in the field of women’s, gender and sexuality studies.  The major prepares students for transfer to four year colleges and universities as part of preparation for careers in business, counseling, human services, politics, law, education, health, journalism, public relations, non-profit/non-governmental organizations, among many others.
