The El Camino College’s Architecture Program prepares students for either transfer to a university or to enter the workforce upon degree or certificate completion. By earning the degree or certificate, the student has demonstrated various proficiencies including hand-drawn and Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD), design application, sustainable practices, construction methods, three-dimensional drawing, and model-making. Students have the option of pursing one of three paths that can result in an Associate in Science Degree (two options) or a Certificate of Achievement. Students earning either a degree or the certificate may expect to enter the industry as an entry-level draftsperson in the architecture (or related) field or transfer to an accredited university architecture program.
At least 50 percent of the major requirements for the Associate in Science degree must be completed at El Camino College.
